The location is marvelous and beautiful, close to the charming central square with restaurants. Varenna is preferred over the more popular town of Bellagio for those looking for a quieter stay. The breakfast options are very tasty, with Prosecco and a variety of food choices available.

Room had a GREAT view of Lake Como and nice balcony. Excellent english-speaking staff. Carpet a bit worn, Hotel Du Lac better value, excellent breakfast, HUGE room and nice sized bathroom. Great location.
It was 40 euros more per night than Hotel Du Lac and less modern. Carpet a bit worn. Not a lot of table surfaces for alarm clock and toiletries.

The service was very efficient. They gave us a well decorated room with a lake view. The location was the best possible, near a long hike up through cobblestone streets and the Salumeria/Market and restaurants, in a very nice area.

Great location in an absolutely charming town. The breakfast was perfect.
No international current support such as transformers or shaver plugs. Hair dryer was antique and ineffective. Bathroom was minuscule. Shower was 30 x 30. This hotel needs a freshening. Price too high for the condition of the rooms.

Wonderful views, great breakfast on balcony looking over Lake Como. Friendly helpful staff, easy location, short walk to ferry, 15mins walk to train, quiet, plenty of restaurants nearby etc. Great place to unwind.
